Let's Be Honest
You're here for the gains. You want to use your money to get more money, and you think crypto is a good way to achieve that.
You're not a crypto-enthusiast. You care about technological advancement only because of the benefits it will bring you. If you think otherwise, just take a moment to think — How much time would you dedicate to learning about cryptocurrencies if it would add zero dollars to your pocket?
I'm the same. I'll admit that the technology and ideology behind cryptocurrencies are cool. That makes it easier to learn about. Being part of disruption is exciting, but full pockets are exciting-er.
This is what you'll be getting in this newsletter — straight-up honesty.
Getting Into Crypto is Hard
Complicated Subject Matter
The crypto-world is complex. The technology is new, and new things are less easy to understand. Its newness also contributes to how fast it moves. New projects are constantly launching and keeping up to date on everything is impossible.
Scattered information
Diving into books, blogs, podcasts, Youtube videos, and Twitter feeds is a daunting task. Like the nature of cryptos themselves, the information about them is scattered; decentralized, if you will. There is no one good place to learn everything.
Experts are experts
Most experts in the space have been here for years. They've forgotten what it's like to be a beginner. They speak/explain from a developed knowledge base, creating unfilled knowledge gaps for their listeners. These gaps are amplified by the use of technical terms and fancy crypto-lingo.
I Want to Make it Less Hard
Crypto's newness is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it's difficult to learn, and on the other, it brings returns like no other market in the world. To get the returns you want, you have to embrace both sides and pick up the sword.
This will not be a one-stop-shop. But hopefully, it will be one of the valuable guiding lights that help you to navigate the space.
I'm not an expert. I studied philosophy in school and was crypto-inducted in 2020. I struggled to get a good sense of the crypto-world, I still am. But I want to share what I learn, as I learn it to help anyone else out there that's struggling. And I hope to learn from you too.
Why Dive Deep?
Do you want life-changing gains? Because I do. If you want to just buy and hold Bitcoin, this probably isn't for you.
In crypto, prices and hype have followed periodic bull-bear cycles thus far. This bull-cycle I got some skin in the game (skin I'm willing to lose) and I put money into projects I didn't understand. Even if some of them performed well, the returns are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
But:
The returns you get depends on the amount you put in
The amount you're willing to put in is proportional to the level of conviction you have
Your level of conviction depends on your level of knowledge and understanding
So the only way to make life-changing gains is to dive deep and build conviction.
